Gold Coast Titans Kieran Foran and Tanah Boyd have paid a heartwarming visit to the Gold Coast University Hospital, surprising two young leukaemia fighters with their very own signed merch.
Four-year-old Bodhi and 5-year-old William met their footy heroes with huge smiles before receiving one-on-one kicking lessons to feel like true junior Titans.
Joined by club mascot Blade and GCHF mascot Betty Get Better, Foran and Boyd were quick to put huge smiles on both boys’ faces.
The Titans extended their visit to meet a number of young patients receiving treatment at the hospital, presenting them and their families with priceless memories and getting to see behind the scenes of the hospital’s incredible care.
TITANS JOIN WITH THE LOTTERY OFFICE TO SUPPORT GOLD COAST HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Joining forces with principal partner The Lottery Office, the Gold Coast Titans have proudly unveiled Gold Coast Hospital Foundation as a jersey partner for the 2024 season.
Locally based, the community organisation raises funds to support patients and their families by delivering local health programs and projects.
GCHF will feature front and centre on the Titans’ Round 8 jersey against the Warriors in April and on the junior retail supporter kit.
An initiative led by The Lottery Office, Titans CEO Steve Mitchell was vocal about his eagerness to jump on-board and help support such an important pillar of the Gold Coast community.
“They are two amazing institutions on the Gold Coast and it’s a nice three-way relationship where we can extend the work we’ve done to date and help this great foundation some more,” he said.
“The Foundation itself and the care and support is central to what we do as a community organisation and I’m sure it’s central to what The Lottery Office do as well.
“The fact both of our businesses can focus on this Foundation is critical and a really good outcome for the community it serves.”
Gold Coast Hospital Foundation CEO Russell Ousley expressed his sincere gratitude for the commitment from both The Lottery Office and the Titans in 2024.
“We are fortunate to have been gifted this opportunity from The Lottery Office and the Titans for our logo to proudly adorn the front of the Gold Coast NRL jerseys in New Zealand and on the junior supporter jerseys, just like the ones Bodhi and William wore at their meet and greet,” he said.
“It truly exemplifies the positive impact that corporate partnerships can have on our community, especially the lives of vulnerable children facing hardship.
“We are thankful for both The Lottery Office and the Gold Coast Titans.”
The Lottery Office CEO Jaclyn Wood said supporting local charities like the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, and helping young people achieve their full potential totally aligned with their values.
“We hope that by gifting the principal logo position on the junior Titans jerseys, The Lottery Office can help The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation raise awareness of the great work they are doing.”
