The Sunshine Coast Falcons women’s team took to the field against the Souths Logan Magpies while in the main event of the afternoon it was the Dolphins taking on the Gold Coast Titans.
Thousands of fans piled through the gates to fill the hills and grandstand with their colours.
The Sunshine Coast Daily was there prior to kick off to capture it all.
The event comes after a small electrical fire on the roof of the grandstand had to be extinguished by fire crews on Saturday afternoon.
