Created by former NRL player and Black Soil Bloodstock boss Brian Siemsen, the Boyz On Tour syndication have a “mates with mates” initiative designed to introduce friends to new friends.

“It is all about getting the guys together, even the way they have designed the shirts, they got some designers to do them up,” Siemsen said.

“A lot of the guys have flown in from around the country and they have met each other for the first time.

“A mate has to introduce a mate to get into it, so it is a mates with mates set up to meet new guys, and that is the whole point of it.”

Siemsen said owners have already approached him about the benefits of the group and said he has been seeing too many men go down with mental health issues.

“That is the biggest thing, giving guys the opportunity to talk about everything, it is something we don’t do enough of,” he said.

“Whether it is too stubborn or we don’t want to talk.

“We all love racing, so the idea is to get together at the races, have a bet and a chat about life.”

La Bella Boom is a $7 chance, while Formula Rossa is $101.

Siemsen tasted success in the race with Skirt The Law in 2023, in what was an all female ownership group.

“We had Skirt The Law for the ladies, it was our biggest day at Black Soil, this is a very different crew this time around,” Siemsen said.

“We have gone from one spectrum to the others, now with these horses for the blokes.

“I was at the sales and I had a mate say to me he has been trying to get a horse to race on Magic Millions day for 20 years.

“We have five on the day and the two in the Millions are a great chance.”
