GPS First XI: Terrace winners, BGS-BBC pic gallery

The GPS First XI Football season round 4 was played yesterday, with St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace the big winners. Terrace beat St Joseph’s Nudgee College 3-1, the first First XI win at Nudgee since 2004. In other results BGS beat BBC 3-0, TSS defeated BSHS 4-1 while IGS pipped TGS 2-1.Impressive goals were scored by IGS’s Darryl Barton and Ethan Frazer after IGS defended exceptionally well. Fullbacks Benji Binney and Luka Mirkovic were excellent in one v one situations

Nudgee home in battle royale – only just

Nothing stirs the emotions each winter more than the sight of young men in Nudgee jerseys confronting Terrace jumpers on a rugby pitch, and so it was the case in a GPS classic at Tennyson.

Wallabies coach’s GPS scouting mission

The battle for Sydney’s Joseph Sualii might already be lost but Wallabies coach Dave Rennie will spend his first Saturday as a Queenslander at a GPS rugby match, scouting for new stars.
