Three Helensvale Hogs juniors have been presented with the opportunity of a lifetime to continue their education at two of Australia’s top rugby nurseries.

Lock Dimitrius Williams, winger Noah Fielding and flyhalf/centre prospect Jaxon Arnold were key contributors to the premiership-winning Hogs and Gold Coast Cyclones Under-17s in 2019.

BBC head coach Shane Drahm said the Hogs would need to work hard in a competitive environment if they hoped to start for the school’s First XV.

“This opportunity can be life changing, and for a lot of kids it has been,” the former Queensland and England flyhalf said.

“It’s a huge opportunity academically because the quality of teaching is outstanding and they’ll be surrounded by support in the boarding house.

“From a rugby perspective you’re pretty much in a professional environment with full-time strength and conditioning coaches, dietitians, all the equipment, a state of the art gym.

“When you a put a value on it the opportunity at hand is amazing.”

Year 11 student Williams is poised to make an immediate impact on the First XV field with the graduation of six starting forwards from last year’s team.

The 190cm, 105kg Queensland Reds under-15s representative lock is equally capable at No.8 and only turned 16 last week.

Winger Noah Fielding, also 16, will have a tougher job to crack into the starting team with strong depth across the backline placing wing positions at a premium.

If he can make it, the chance to run outside highly touted Melbourne Storm signing Jack Howarth - who will return to the school in 2020 - could bring out the best in his game as well.

Ipswich Grammar recruit Jaxon Arnold will face the mammoth task of filling the playmaking void left by graduated Sydney Roosters prodigy Sam Walker.

The tough-tackling inside backs prospect came from nowhere to star for the Gold Coast Cyclones in 2019.

The three Hogs could face off when Brisbane Boys’ College travels to Ipswich for a Round Seven clash on August 29.
