SuperUtes driver Ben Walsh to host Gold Coast 600 after party
The biggest Gold Coast 600 after-party will be hosted by one of the drivers this weekend. SuperUtes championship contender Ben Walsh will go from tussling with competitors through the concrete jungle to hosting them at his new U.S-inspired eatery in Broadbeach.

THE biggest Gold Coast 600 after-party will be hosted by one of the drivers this weekend.
SuperUtes championship contender Ben Walsh will go from tussling with competitors through the concrete jungle to hosting them at his new U.S-inspired eatery Fat Freddy’s Bar and Diner in Broadbeach.
It’s one of two businesses he runs in Broadbeach, the other is Miss Moneypenny’s.

“I have owned restaurants since about 2008 and had one in Noosa for about six years now,” Walsh said.
“We are having an official teams and drivers party. We have guys from Supercars down to the support category teams coming down.”
Walsh said he would even let in rivals who potentially beat him this weekend.
In the meantime he will put all his focus into ensuring he keeps his championship hopes alive.
Walsh holds third in the SuperUtes Championship with Gold Coast the second-last round of the series.
“It’s no holds bar now,” Walsh said.
TOUGH YEAR BUT SVG IS LOVING IT
“It’s super fun at the Gold Coast, you have to be ultra-committed.”
Walsh finished fourth in last year’s SuperUtes Championship. He started his career in karting and spent time racing professionally in Europe and Asia, winning the FIA International Asian Driver’s Championship in open-wheelers before racing in the GT-class and Aussie Cars.
