The two day competition will be a further boon for Gold Coast tourism which is about to come off a bumper school holiday period.

3Ptag co-founders Matt and Teaghan Hartigan last year staged the inaugural senior event and the second installment would be a bumper event after participation doubled to almost 1000 competitors.

3Ptag has gathered significant momentum with the first ever NSW Junior tournament conducted late last year.

Hartigan said senior competition was more than just a sporting event, it was a celebration of community and culture. Twenty-one cultures will be represented across the tournament

“It creates an environment that celebrates culture and builds cultural connections,’’ he said.

“We believe sport provides the perfect platform to bring people together.’’

3Ptag is a non-contact modified Rugby League game featuring seven player teams.

“It has a set of rules designed to create thinking players and act as a way to help young men and women progress to the NRL,’’ Hartigan said.
