Fifteen NRL futures headline the South Coast 16-18 years Boys Rugby League team, who are gearing up for the 2024 Queensland School Sport Championships from May 18-21.

The roster includes future Titans half Zane Harrison, up-and-coming younger brother Isaac, and son of Storm sensation Marcus Bai.

Staffed by coach Peter Norman of Keebra Park, Trainer Tim Maccan of PBC and manager Darren Hart of Keebra Park the boys will be in good hands and have been preparing well over the last 6 weeks.

“Most boys are members of the successful Burleigh and Tweed Mal Meninga Cup squads who will face off in a State final,” Hart said.

“In two weeks , there have been a couple of injuries that have resulted in players being called into the squad at the last minute but (Peter) Norman is happy with where they are at.

“We have a wealth of talent on the Coast and these boys are all part of either the Broncos or Titans systems so I am confident that whoever wears the South Coast jersey will do the job expected of them” He said.

“This weekend we are united in representing the Gold Coast and defending our title.

“The boys will come together with a common cause with the aim to clinch back to back State Championship titles.”

The action kicks off at CBUS on Saturday with the Opening ceremony at 8AM followed by the first game at 9:30.
