Using the criteria of having played a minimum of 50 games in the local competition, the experts broke the process down into two: the best side from 1980-2000, and the best from 2000-2020.
Today we look at the best from 1980-2000, and will name the best from 2000-2020 in the coming days.
BATSMEN
Talk about a tough ask. The panel have chosen the following after looking long and hard through all the talents over this period.

Some players pick themselves, like Clyde Veivers who was a giant of the game during this era. Bruce Oxenford was a Queensland player before going on to be an international umpire.
