Collingwood will launch its 2020 season against the revamped Western Bulldogs in a Round 1 blockbuster.
The clash will pit two of the best midfields in the competition against each other in a Friday night clash at Marvel Stadium.
The contest should draw a near-capacity crowd under the roof, helping crate an electric atmosphere and bumper TV audience for the second game of the AFL season.

The Dogs bolstered their side in the trade period adding key position players Josh Bruce and Alex Keath.
But it will be the contest in the middle of the ground that will see some of the league’s superstar ballwinners go head to head, including Marcus Bontempelli and Scott Pendlebury.

Earlier today it was revealed GWS will host Geelong in the two teams’ opening-season clash, with the match to be a double-header with the AFLW.
That comes on top of weekend news St Kilda will face North Melbourne in its Round 1 clash.
In other fixture news:
■ Melbourne will head interstate for the first game of the season.
■ North Melbourne was slated to take on St Kilda their Round 1 game.
■ Geelong will hit the road to tackle Greater Western Sydney.
■ Richmond will unfurl its premiership flag before the season-opener against Carlton.
