Cameron Ellis-Yolmen yet to agree to new deal with Crows and appears headed for the door along with Alex Keath and Hugh Greenwood

The exit queue is getting longer at Adelaide with Cameron Ellis-Yolmen set to join Hugh Greenwood and Alex Keath with one foot out the door as the club’s list overhaul continues.

Cameron Ellis-Yolmen looks set to join Alex Keath and Hugh Greenwood in the exit queue at Adelaide as the club’s list overhaul continues to unfold.

Ellis-Yolmen is an unrestricted free agent after signing a one-year rookie contract extension last season and can walk to a club of his choice next year.

The Crows were keen to re-sign the 26-year-old midfielder in the second half of this season but a deal has not been reached and while no decision has been made, Ellis-Yolmen appears headed for the open market.

It would mean both he and Greenwood, who is being courted by rival clubs, could leave Adelaide at the same time, denting its mature-age midfield stocks but on the flip side opening up spots for the next wave of talent to emerge.

Ellis-Yolmen has played just 39 games since being drafted in 2011 and being sidelined by two knee reconstructions.

He showed signs he was on the up with a career-high 15 games last year then hit career-best form in his 10 games this season before being struck down by a stress-reaction in his shin at training after Round 13 and he did not play again.

Adelaide won seven of its 10 games with Ellis-Yolmen in the side this season and Champion Data shows he averaged career-high disposals (23.5), contested possessions (12.3), groundball gets (9.8) and tackles (5.6) with above-average ratings.

He had 30 disposals and a goal against reigning premier West Coast in Round 10 and 26 and seven clearances against Richmond in Round 13.

The club’s external review continues at West Lakes with players interviewed by Jason Dunstall and Matthew Pavlich last week.

Not all player contact decisions have been put on hold until after the review with defender Jake Kelly signing a new two-year deal and rookie-listed midfielder Patrick Wilson signing for one year last month.

Andy Otten and Richard Douglas announced their retirements last month but Otten continues to play in the SANFL finals and Douglas is open to offers if a rival club comes knocking.

Eddie Betts is also considering his future after Carlton and Gold Coast flagged their interest in luring him away from the final year of his contract with Adelaide.

Betts last week confirmed there had been interest but no offers from rival clubs and he is currently holidaying in Cairns with his family.

It comes as ruckman Sam Jacobs was on Monday linked with his former club Carlton as he eyes a potential move interstate to extend his 201-game career.

Jacobs reportedly met with the Blues and underwent a medical examination and he has also been linked with GWS which is in the market for a ruckman and whose captain Phil Davis remains one of Jacobs’ friends.

Greenwood is on holiday in the US while Keath met with St Kilda last week as he considers returning to Victoria.
