Adelaide has taken reliable defender Jake Kelly off the market, signing him to a two-year contract extension.
And powerful rookie-listed midfielder Patrick Wilson also has inked a new deal with the Crows, putting pen to paper on a one-year rookie contract.
The son of 1990 Collingwood premiership defender Craig Kelly, Jake played all 22 games in a season for the first time this year and is a strong chance to finish in the top 10 of Adelaide’s best and fairest award.
After being selected at pick 40 at the 2014 rookie draft, Kelly made his AFL debut in round three, 2015, and has played 75 games for the club.

He this year averaged career-highs of 16 disposals and five marks and his rankings points rose from 67.3 in 2018 to 74.7.
His rise of 7.4 was the third highest at Adelaide behind Cam Ellis-Yolmen (+10.7) and Brodie Smith (+8.6).
Kelly was rated by Champion Data as elite for a defender for spoils and above average for intercept marks, contested marks, intercept possessions and kicking efficiency.
Crows general manager of list management and strategy Justin Reid said the club was excited to secure the 24-year-old’s signature after he was courted by several rivals.
“Jake’s attention to detail, elite training standards and team-first approach are exactly what the club needs,” Reid said.
“He has had an impressive 2019 and we look forward to what he can bring to the club over the next two seasons.”
Reid said 23-year-old Wilson, who has played two AFL games in the past two seasons, deserved another opportunity after dominating the SANFL.
