Another one bites the dust.

Nikita Tszyu has claimed another victim, defeating Jack Brubaker via TKO in his most brutal demolition to date.

The 25-year-old came out swinging in trademark style and blew the roof off Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion as he went for the kill against Brubaker.

The pair clashed heads in the third round, leaving Brubaker bloodied and nasty swelling under Tszyu’s right eye.

Renowned for his granite chin, Brubaker somehow stayed standing as he copped absolute hammer blows from Tszyu.

Brubaker’s corner eventually threw in the towel in the sixth round, conceding the fight as Tszyu remained undefeated, taking his record to 7-0.

“Pure butchery,” Ben Damon said on Main Event.

“Nikita, he had to go to places he has never been and he emerged from them victorious against a man who is not of this world.”

“That was something else, that was incredible,” Barry Michael said.

Damon said: “Jack Brubaker is not of this world. He’s taken shots which would knock out any other person in this building and he stayed on his feet.

“Geez, we have something from a different realm.

“It’s time for the towel or the referee to stop this fight because Jack Brubaker is too tough for his own good and too tough for this world, quite frankly.”

10.30pm – Liam Wilson wins

Liam Wilson looked a class above Carlos Alanis in his first fight since being robbed of a world title.

He defeated Alanis via unanimous decision (100-89 x 2, 98-91) to take his record to 12-2 and return to the winner’s circle.

Wilson would have liked a knockout after knocking Alanis down but he did enough to claim the vacant WBO world super featherweight title.

Liam Wilson vs. Carlos Alanis round updates

Round 1: Liam Wilson comes out positively and takes the initiative against Alanis, who didn’t do much as he held his gloves up.

Ben Damon said on Main Event: “After what happened in the United States, Liam Wilson wants revenge against the boxing world.”

Round 2: Another round to Wilson, who is the busier of the two fighters in the early stages.

Barry Michael said: “He’s outboxing Alanis at the moment. Alanis hasn’t bothered him one bit.”

Round 3: A better round for Alanis, who starts to open up and land some shots on Wilson.

Round 4: A close round. Alanis is sidestepping his away around the ring, making it hard for Wilson to pin him down.

Round 5: A good round for Wilson, who connects with a couple of right hands as things start to open up halfway through the 10-round bout.

Round 6: An uneventful round as Alanis evades Wilson.

Round 7: Here we go. Wilson opens the shoulders and hits Alanis with a heavy left uppercut that knocked the stuffing out of the Argentinian and sent him down onto his knees.

Round 8: Wilson can smell blood but Alanis is hanging in there and held his own in that round.

Round 9: Alanis dances around the ring, desperately trying to evade Wilson, who is hunting a knockout in the closing stages.

Round 10: A frustrated Wilson chases Alanis around but can’t land the finishing blow on the wily Argentinian.

9.35pm – ‘Heavyweight war’

You might have expected a knockout but heavyweights Kiki Toa Leutele and Toese Vousiutu still produced a banger of a fight by going the distance.

Leutele was knocked down in the second round but grew into the fight as Vousiutu nursed an injury to his right hand sustained in the fourth round.

Ben Damon said it was “an incredible heavyweight war between two very tough men”.

Leutele was awarded the victory via split decision (76-75 x 2, 73-78).

It’s Leutele’s third win in a row after a gutsy loss to Justis Huni last year.

8.40pm – Jackson goes out on a high

There was talk he could retire and if he does, lightweight Luke Jackson will go out on a high after putting on a clinic against Tyson Lantry.

Jackson produced a textbook display of boxing and was a class above as he landed countless blows on Lantry over the six rounds.

He won via unanimous decision (60-54 x 2, 59-55).

“That’s it man,” said Jackson, who was been sober for more than two years and preached a mental health message after the win.

“I want to be a dad. That’s my next goal in life.”

7.55pm – Aussies put on a show in ‘all-out war’

There was no love lost between Ben Hussain and Koen Mazoudier in the build-up and the two super welterweights put on a show in a seriously brutal and entertaining fight.

Hussain and Mazoudier both came out swinging from the opening bell as they refused to give an inch.

“Outstanding stuff here from Ben Hussain and Koen Mazoudier,” Ben Damon said on Main Event, describing the bout as “phenomenal”.

“We are seeing an all out war,” Damon said.

Barry Michael added: “The crowd is watching one of the best fights I’ve seen in a long, long time.

“It’s a ripper but it’s classy as well.”

Harry Garside said at the end of the fourth round: “I’m calling it – this is a fight of the year contender, surely?”

Somehow, they maintained the high tempo to go the full 10 rounds — Hussain was narrowly favoured on the scorecards after making a strong start to the fight.

Hussain won by majority decision (95-95, 94-96 x 2), but there’s already talk of a rematch.

“I wouldn’t mind seeing a draw,” Garside said.

“Run it back boys, run it back.”

7.05pm – Nikita’s cold Mike Tyson promise

Jack Brubaker prides himself on going the distance and not being knocked out, but Nikita Tszyu has promised to “pop his boxing virginity”.

“My aim is to be the first. I want to pop his virginity in making him quit,” Nikita said in the build-up.

“Tim finished him in four rounds. The goal is to beat him before that.

The quirky 25-year-old also invoked memories of Mike Tyson, saying at the weigh-in he wanted to try to “bite his neck off”.

“As soon as you start making weight in the sauna, when you’re really struggling, serious s*** comes out,” Tszyu said.

“The anger comes out.

“That thrill to try and bite his neck off comes out.”
