The prestige auction saw a large crowd turn out and watch the auction unfold as four bidders fought it out for their keys to the stunning residence.

Six bidders registered for the auction in total.

A local Brisbane family from New Farm won the auction, scoring the keys to prime Brisbane real estate.

Property agent Tom Lyne from Ray White New Farm said the result was fantastic for his clients.

“We broke the suburb record by over $340,000,” Mr Lyne said

“I don‘t see the prestige market slowing down, and stock levels are still incredibly tight.

Auctioneer Justin Nickerson from Apollo Auctions said the result today was fantastic.

“Two factors drive auctions like this, one is a buyer that is emotionally engaged, two, is the strong competition as we saw in this auction where the bidders were pushing it up to the mid-fours,” Mr Nickerson said.

“We‘ve noticed the prestige market has been the strongest. It’s the least affected by the interest rates.”

According to property data the previous record was held by 40 Newmarket St, Hendra which sold for $5m in April 2023.
