Young teens charged over alleged break and enter attempt

Two 15-year-olds boys have been charged after an alleged attempted break-in at a Bungalow business.

Two 15-year-old boys have been charged after an alleged attempted break-in at a Bungalow business.

Police allege that at 9.40pm on Monday, three offenders forced entry to the rear door of a business at a Mulgrave Road shopping centre, but fled when the alarm was activated.

Police attended a short time later, located two boys, and took them into custody.

One 15-year-old Earlville boy was charged with one count each of attempted enter premise, attempted enter dwelling and enter premise and commit indictable offence.

The second 15-year-old Edmonton boy was charged with one count of attempted enter premise and stealing.

Both boys will appear in Cairns Childrens Court.

Investigations are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or call 1800 333 000.
