Roos troublemaker Tarryn Thomas’ career is hanging by a thread after yet another scandal, boldly sharing a clip of his dangerous driving to social media.

North Melbourne troublemaker Tarryn Thomas’ career hangs by a thread after a social media post of him driving dangerously surfaced on Tuesday night.

The video, posted by Thomas to his close friends story on Instagram, shows the controversial Kangaroos midfielder driving a car in cruise control with his legs and feet on the centre console.

The vehicle then slowly drifts into the wrong lane and it is believed he captioned the video ‘living my best life’.

The club confirmed on Tuesday night that Thomas had been visiting family in Sydney over the long weekend and was driving back to Melbourne when he filmed and posted the video.

In a stinging statement released on Tuesday evening, North Melbourne said the 57-game-player had “not made adequate progress” in his efforts to improve his off-field behaviour.

“North Melbourne is aware of a social media post by Tarryn Thomas from Monday night,” the statement said.

“Thomas has been away from the AFL program for the past three weeks and will continue to spend time away from the club.

“The club continues to assess Thomas’ progress towards meeting club and community expectations.

“He has not made adequate progress to be returned into the club environment at this stage.”

It comes after the 22-year-old was stood down from the club indefinitely last month as North Melbourne began investigating fresh claims about alleged inappropriate behaviour towards women.

North Melbourne had confirmed they were looking into reports he had allegedly sent threatening text messages to a woman.

Those claims came after he took more time away from the club after a woman alleged Thomas said he wanted to “beat” her.

In response to those claims, North Melbourne football boss Todd Viney last month said there was “not enough” improvement in the midfielder’s attempts to improve himself as a person to warrant an on-field return.

“Tarryn still has some work to do in that situation ... this is a serious concern,” Viney said on March 24.

“The main part we want to get right is respect and responsibility to women.

“He hadn’t really gotten to the level we needed to with the education program.

“There’d been some improvement, but not enough from out observations and also from some of the providers of those services we’ve been dealing with.”
