Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will outline his plans to ensure Victoria’s “even brighter” future as he delivers the keynote address at the Herald Sun’s Future Victoria event next month.
Mr Albanese can be revealed as the special guest speaker at the forum, in partnership with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at Crown on February 26.
“I am looking forward to Future Victoria and outlining my government’s plans to build Australia’s future and what that means for the great state of Victoria. One of my favourite places to be,” Mr Albanese said.
“Victoria makes an enormous contribution to our national economy and my government plans to ensure the future of Victoria is even brighter.”
The exclusive event will feature some of Australia’s top leaders, experts and innovators whose eyes are firmly fixed on what’s next for Victoria.
The Herald Sun’s 2025 Future Victoria series will focus on the role community, events, connectivity, innovation and education plays in helping ensure the future success of the state. Herald Sun editor Sam Weir, who will also conduct a Q&A with Mr Albanese, said: “I’m delighted the Prime Minister will be the keynote speaker at such an important event as Future Victoria, and in an election year where our state will play such a vital role.”
“As the state’s number one media brand, the Herald Sun is dedicated to ensuring a better future for all Victorians and we look forward to Mr Albanese revealing his vision to ensure we remain the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive Paul Guerra said that in a federal election year “the significance of the Victorian business vote has never been more important, as demonstrated by the attendance of the Prime Minister at Future Victoria”.
“The business community serves as the driving force of the nation, propelling economic growth and future investments. Victorian businesses need strong and effective leadership that understands the challenges we face and, more importantly, the opportunities to unleash economic growth as we endure one of the most challenging economic times in our recent history,” he said.
“It’s imperative for our leaders to collaborate with the private sector to ensure Victoria not only keeps pace but also emerges as a global leader.”
