Man critically injured after car crashes into tree on Binstead Way, Pacific Pines

A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition following a serious crash on the Gold Coast. Read the latest

A man is fighting for life in hospital on the Gold Coast after a car ploughed into a tree at Pacific Pines

The single vehicle crash was reported on Binstead Way about 10.30am on Sunday a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed.

Paramedics performed CPR on a male from the vehicle for about half an hour before he was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.

Footage taken at the scene shows a white Mitsubishi SUV with its front bumper missing and significant damage.

Police closed one lane on Binstead Way as the vehicle was loaded onto a tow truck and the roadway was cleared of debris.

The road was reopened just before lunchtime with minimal impact on traffic.
