A two-vehicle crash at Oxenford has blocked traffic and caused lengthy delays on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Tamborine Oxenford Rd near the John Muntz Causeway shortly after 6am, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
The crash involved a ute and an SUV.
Debris from the crash affected lanes in both directions and caused about 2km of traffic to bank up.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two patients were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
A man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment, the spokeswoman said.
Pictures of the crash scene show the SUV with significant damage to the front bumper, while the ute was crushed on the driver side.
Police closed Tamborine Oxenford Rd as both vehicles were loaded on to tow trucks shortly before 7am.
Heavy delays were still impacting traffic in both directions.
