Toowoomba’s cherished Triple M Mayoral Carols by Candlelight tradition has lit up Queens Park, marking the beloved event’s 71st anniversary.
What began in the 1950s is now a massive celebration, drawing more than 12,000 attendees to Frog’s Hollow.
The event is a testament to extraordinary local spirit, relying entirely on generous volunteers and businesses, according to long-time production manager Jim Aspromourgos.
Food trucks began serving at 4pm, with carols starting at 6pm, concluding with a spectacular fireworks display at 8pm. This year, the event also featured “Bus It Free!” shuttle transport, ensuring a safe and memorable evening for all ages.
