Star Entertainment Group site on Gold Coast and towers revealed

THE Star Entertainment Group has revealed what its final vision for its Broadbeach island site will look like — including exciting new features.

The Star Gold Coast Masterplan Development (viewed from the South East) at its island site at Broadbeach where the two existing towers will be joined by Tower 1 starting construction in August followed by four proposed towers intended to be rolled out progressively to 2028.

“Hero” pools and a spa area are under proposed Tower 2 on the Star Entertainment Group Masterplan Podium Recreation Deck for its Gold Coast island site at Broadbeach.

The Star has proposed a $2 billion, seven-tower vision for its Gold Coast site, as previously revealed in the Bulletin back in March when it was given city council backing.

Now The Star has unveiled just what it would all look like if it proceeds and is completed — with the addition of five new towers by 2030.

The site masterplan includes four more proposed towers — standing 52, 54, 65 and 74 storeys.

The Star Entertainment Group CEO Matt Bekier told the Bulletin each of the new towers proposed would include a “hero pool” feature plus five to six food and beverage offerings each.

“We are looking to put in a high-end spa. Not every tower will get its own spa but every one will have its own pools.

“As you add each one you want to have significant hero pools.”

The Star site already has about 15 bars and restaurants and under the long-term vision that would likely grow to almost 50 venues.
