AS restrictions continue to ease, venues are reopening throughout the Gold Coast, giving you a lot more options for your leisure time. Here are ten of the best to reopen in the last two weeks.
Enjoy family fun at iPlay Coomera
Family favourite iPlay Adventure Coomera at Westfield Coomera reopened on Saturday for walk-ins, parties can be booked and the high ropes and clip n climb activities are also open.
Nearby at The Park Coomera, people can enjoy bowling, 18 holes of putt-putt and dining options, but numbers are limited so bookings are required. Open Mic night every Saturday at 6pm has also resumed for budding musicians.
Go indoor trampolining
Bounce Inc in Burleigh and Jummps Parkwood Village are both back open, with some changes to ensure safety of guests. To make a booking at Jummps call 07 5571 5138, for Bounce click on THIS LINK.
Catch a movie
Movie buffs can get their fix at HOTA in Bundall, which has been putting on 12 screenings a day from Saturday 6th June. The venue’s CEO Criena Gehrke said they had put an exciting program together. “We are pulling together a thematic program that touches on some of our favourite films, through to award-winning masterpieces, as well as family movies,” she said.
Enjoy a meal at Miami Marketta
Miami Marketta officially said goodbye to its COVID drive-through service and welcomed guests back for dining last Friday night. The market is now open for limited numbers every Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 9pm.
Get into the swing of things at TopGolf
TOPGOLF Gold Coast is getting back into the swing of things, opening last Friday with a raft of COVID Safe measures in place. This includes alternate bay use and cleaning of clubs, balls, screens and other high touch areas because each session.
Pre-bookings are required and the Village Roadshow attraction is honouring all gift vouchers impacted by the temporary closure. Guests will use alternative bays for gameplay with two bays becoming one to provide additional space for physical distancing.
Browse the stalls at Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets
The popular Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets returned last Friday. The markets are now open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm-9pm.
Go ten pin bowling
Go Bowling Ashmore reopened on Friday 5th June with reduced numbers allowed. Bookings are recommended, call 075 539 6433.
Take the kids to the bouncy pillow at Broadwater Parklands
One of the best free activities for children on the Gold Coast is a visit to the Broadwater Parklands in Southport, where the highlight is the popular bouncing pillow. Children will be jumping with joy to know it reopened last Saturday.
Go whale watching
There are few more spectacular sights than watching whales breach from the water as they pass by our coastline on their annual winter migration. Daily Sea World Whale Watching cruises resumed on Saturday June 6. See HERE for more information.
Spend a night at O’Reillys rainforest retreat
Lovers of nature will be happy to know that despite closures caused by bushfires and COVID-19, O’Reilly’s is back in business. Weekends at the spectacular rainforest resort are again possible, with retreat and villa accommodation opened to guests last weekend. Visit HERE for details.
