Fancy driving some of the world’s best golfers around during this year’s LIV golf tournament?

That’s one of the roles up for grabs as organisers look for 200 volunteers to help with next month’s Adelaide event from April 26-28 at Grange Golf Club.

Other coveted positions, both on and off the course, include crowd ushers and in ticketing.

LIV Golf Adelaide executive tournament director Nick Haslam said it was a unique opportunity for locals to get a “front row seat” at the much-anticipated event.

“We can’t wait to welcome more people into our team of volunteers. Volunteers are vital in delivering this incredible global event and make such an impact on the charm this tournament has created for players and the travelling LIV team,” he said.

Organisers are looking for volunteers across the three days with priority given to those who are available for the whole tournament.

Ben Layton, 25, is a golf coach who volunteered last year, describing it as an “incredible experience”.

“Just the access you get, to be able to see the players up close and personal. Driving the players out to their holes... you could have a bit of a chat with them,” he said.

“They’re really nice people.”

Taylor Thomas, 25, said last year was a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to help out with the tournament.

“You get so close to the players and among the atmosphere... and I met so many new people and made so many new friends,” she said.

Adelaide last year delivered on the hype of the Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Golf League, thanks largely to the crowd’s reaction on the par 3 Watering Hole to Chase Koepka’s hole-in-one.

This year’s field is set to again include 2022 British Open champion winner Cameron Smith, as well as a host of other major winners, including Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson.

LIV Golf’s big recruit, defending US Masters champion Jon Rahm, is also expected to play, with ground passes still available for the Friday and Sunday of the event.

All volunteers will receive LIV golf merchandise as a thank you for their efforts.
