History making Tones and I is coming back to town to play at the LIV Golf Adelaide 2024 weekend.

The announcement that the award-winning Australian artist will perform at the three-day tournament on Friday, April 26, follows her tour with Pink and a Spotify milestone.

Tones and I – whose real name is Toni Watson – is the first female and only Aussie to achieve more than three billion streams for one song on thedigital music service – thanks to her catchy hit Dance Monkey.

Released in 2019, Dance Monkey had achieved two billion streams by the end of the following year.

Tones and I previously told The Advertiser that she penned it “while I lived in my van on the street, playing music on the street with a broken keyboard for my friends that lived at a hostel with me”.

Dance Monkey is one of eight songs in the “three billion streams club”, the others being recorded by male artists from North America and the UK, including The Weeknd for Blinding Lights and Ed Sheeran for Shape of You.

“I’m pumped to get back to Radelaide to be a part of the LIV Golf Adelaide 2024 festivities at The Grange Golf Club!,” Tones and I said.

News that Tones and I is performing Friday night, completes the LIV Golf Adelaide entertainment bill.

DJ FISHER is spinning tunes on the Saturday and electronic duo Flight Facilities will take to the stage on Sunday.

South Australia Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison said the line-up was “a hole-in-one for South Australia’s tourism industry”. “We know crowds are coming from more than 20 countries, so I look forward to the second edition of LIV Golf Adelaide building on the $64.9m it pumped into our state’s economy in its inaugural year,” she said.

LIV Golf is offering premium VIP viewing packages for all three music performances, which can be purchased from LIVGolf.com.
