Six people have been arrested in two separate incidents overnight on Adelaide’s roads including a police pursuit in the southwestern suburbs.

It comes after police arrested seven boys earlier in the week after a witness spotted them fleeing the scene of a crash involving a stolen sedan and a parked car.

In one incident on Thursday, a 30-year-old man was arrested after a police pursuit in Glengowrie after 2am.

Patrols along Morphett Rd spotted a Mitsubishi Magna driving at high speed and attempted to stop the vehicle before it took off into the backstreets.

Police began a pursuit but were forced to because of safety reasons.

More patrols converged on the area and sighted the car speeding south on Diagonal Rd where it allegedly ran a red light.

The Mitsubishi was tracked to the backstreets of Dover Gardens, where it was dumped on Folkestone Rd before the driver fled on foot.

After a short chase, the 30-year-old Greenacres man was caught by patrols and arrested.

The man has been charged with dangerous driving to escape police pursuit, driving unregistered, driving unlicensed and carrying an article of disguise after two balaclavas were found in his possession.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Meanwhile, police started tracking a white Honda SUV on Railway Tce at Mile End about 11.30pm on Wednesday after it was flagged as stolen from an Everard Park home earlier this week.

Patrols followed the Honda on to Sir Donald Bradman Dr before PolAir began tracking the car from the air.

The car was followed from the air along South Rd, Henley Beach Rd and Marion Rd and into western suburbs backstreets.

The Honda stopped shortly after at Anstey Crescent at Marleson and two passengers left the vehicle.

The stolen car drove to Sarah St where the driver and another passenger left the vehicle and were picked up by a second car.

PolAir tracked the second vehicle to Cowra St at Mile End where police arrested the occupants.

The driver, a 31-year-old man from Devon Park was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, theft and driving unlicensed.

The 24-year-old male passenger from Port Adelaide was also arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle.

The driver of the second car, a 29-year-old man from Kensington Gardens was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified and the vehicle was impounded.

Police returned to the Marleson area and arrested the other passengers, two local women aged 19, and charged them with illegal use.

The women were bailed to appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on June 7.

These incidents come after seven children were arrested after they were witnessed fleeing from a stolen sedan after it crashed into a parked car in Kilkenny.

The boys, aged between 11 and 17 from Murray Bridge, Kilkenny, Adelaide and Parafield Gardens, were spotted by a witness fleeing from a Toyota Sedan after it crashed into a parked car on Reynell St at about 12.30am on Wednesday.

Police with assistance of police dogs tracked the youths to a home a few streets away.
