Young footy player suffers suspected spinal injury at Gladstone
A boy has been taken to hospital after suffering a suspected spinal injury at a Queensland sports field.

A young football player has suffered a suspected spinal injury at a Central Queensland sporting field on Saturday.
Paramedics were called to Briffney Creek Fields, which hosts junior fixtures at Clinton, Gladstone, about 9.15am.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a male child was treated for a suspected spinal injury after a tackle.
The QAS spokeswoman said the boy was taken in a stable condition to Gladstone Hospital.
In a separate incident in the Gladstone region on Saturday, paramedics were called to a motor sports complex on Jono Porter Drive, Benaraby, about 10.53am where a boy fell from a motorbike.
A QAS spokeswoman said the boy, in his early teens, was suffering back pain and he was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.
