Tyler John Cookson-Davies, 26, appeared before Magistrate Lisa Stapleton in Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday.
He is charged with 17 offences relating to the alleged manufacture and supply of large commercial quantities of prohibited drugs.
Cookson-Davies’ arrest follows a multi-agency investigation into the alleged manufacturing and mass supply of illicit drugs under Strike Force Culti, under which several people have been arrested and are currently before the courts.
Further inquiries identified the 26-year-old alleged drug manufacturer for the syndicate had relocated to Queensland, where police will allege he produced over 40kg of MDMA bound for New South Wales and Western Australia.
Cookson-Davies is charged with five counts of manufacturing a large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs, six counts of possessing a precursor for manufacturing or producing drugs, and two counts of large commercial prohibited drug supply.
He is also facing charges of indictable prohibited drug supply and dealing with property proceeds of crime under $100,000 and under $5000.
Cookson-Davies is accused of producing various amounts of MDMA at Berkeley, Springrange, Alfords Point, Albion Park Rail, and Kingscliff, facts state.
Police allege he supplied MDMA, including 30g of precursor pure P2P, a synthetic drug sometimes referred to as “super meth”.
Police will also allege Cookson-Davies was in possession of mass amounts of 3-phenyl-2-methyl glycidic acid, methlyamine, sodium borohydride, and mehtyl 3-phenyl-2-methyl glycidate, to be used to manufacture the drugs between January and June 2024.

Strike force officers and officers from Lake Illawarra and Tweed/Byron Police Districts carried out 10 raids on properties at Tullimbar, Yallah, Calderwood, Albion Park and Kingscliff on June 19 last year.
NSW Police states ABF investigators identified the syndicate had allegedly been importing drugs since August 2023 and about 150kg of the precursor had been seized since that time.
It is also alleged officers uncovered a lab at a home during the Kingscliff proeprty raid.
“Specialist police from the State Crime Command Chemical Operations Team were deployed and dismantled the lab, locating and seizing over one thousand litres of precursor for MDMA and methamphetamine,” police allege.
