A woman aged in her 80s and a man in his 60s have suffered serious injuries in separate Northern River crashes.
Emergency services were called to Big River Way at Tyndale southwest of Maclean after a car and a truck collided about 8.30am on Monday.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman in her 80s for a range of injuries. She was stabilised by a Westpac Rescue Helicopter critical care team.
The elderly woman was then flown to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police launched an investigation and the crash closed the road for some time.
Later in the day, emergency services were called to a ute and motorcycle crash west of Casino, near Tabulam.
Paramedics who were called about 1pm found the man in his 60s had fallen from his motorbike when he collided with the ute on Clarence Way at Culmaran Creek.
The rider suffered serious leg injuries, including lacerations.
He was stabilised by the rescue chopper service’s critical care team and flown to Gold Coast University hospital in a serious condition.
