A woman in her 30s accused of murdering her lover in his 60s, who was also her landlord, has not applied for bail and will remain behind bars on remand.
Lisa Marie Cummings, 35, was arrested at a Loftus St, Nambucca Heads on Friday and charged with the domestic violence-related murder of Mark Myers.
Coffs/Clarence Police responded to calls and found the body of the 62-year-old man in a surfboard bag on the driveway of a Darkwood property about 65 kilometres west of Coffs Harbour last Thursday evening.
Cummings faced Port Macquarie Local Court over the alleged slaying on Saturday and did not apply for bail.
It has emerged at Coffs Harbour Local Court that Cummings was subject to an apprehended violence order (AVO) not related to Mr Myers.
On Monday, defence lawyer John Hennessy told the court bail was not requested.
Magistrate Julia Virgo said Cummings faced separate matters to the murder allegation in the court.
Cummings appeared over videolink from Mid North Coast Correctional Centre at Kempsey.
She was ordered to appear in person in the court on September 2 in relation to a breach of bail relating to the AVO.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Sams appeared and the court heard Cummings had other separate matters alongside the AVO in the courts.
It’s alleged Cummings murdered Mr Myers at the Loftus St property and his body was then transported to the remote Darkwood residence in the Thora Valley.
Coffs/Clarence Police have been investigating alongside State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad under Strike Force Nome.
