“Tragically taken” is how two-month-old baby Hazley Ellen’s passing has been described in her death notice.

The picture lovingly chosen by her teenage mother has the newborn sleeping peacefully in a light pink tutu with a satin ribbon bow and a white shirt with her name printed in pink cursive writing.

She wears a headband adorned with a pink flower made of soft, gentle material.

The tiny, fragile girl was also wearing pink, this time a bib, in a photo posted to Facebook by her father Tyron Peter Donald Grealy just days before he allegedly murdered her.

The grief-stricken mother posted underneath the notice, shared to Facebook, ‘I’ll miss you always baby girl’, adding love heart and dove emojis.

Hazley passed away on Wednesday, January 22 in a Brisbane hospital, having been flown there after emergency services were called to a Gracemere home to discover her unconscious and not breathing three days beforehand.

Despite her short life, her tribute paints her as loved by many.

It states she was a loved, cherished and adored daughter, loved and treasured granddaughter, great granddaughter, niece and cousin.

The family released the notice four days after Mr Grealy was charged with Hazley’s murder, and following a family service, which was held in keeping with her mother’s wishes.

The public notice following the very private service to mourn the heartbreaking tragedy held a short message for Hazley from her teen mum.

“I love you Baby Girl, I’ll carry your heart always; I’ll carry it in my heart.”

Many in the community have reached out to share heartfelt condolences and words of encouragement underneath the Facebook post.

One mother wrote “may the angels wrap beautiful Hazley in their warm embrace”, while others posted “fly high”, either describing the baby whose life was allegedly stolen at just two months as a “little princess” or an “angel”.

Mr Grealy was charged with one court of murder (domestic violence offence) on February 18 and he appeared in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on February 19.

Police have alleged on January 19, emergency services were called to a Gracemere property about 11.15pm to reports an infant was unconscious and not breathing.

Hazley suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital before she was flown to Brisbane for treatment.

On February 18, detectives from the Rockhampton Child Protection Investigation Unit and specialist police from Crime and Intelligence Command’s Child Trauma Unit arrested and charged Mr Grealy.

His matter has been adjourned.

Mr Grealy was not released on bail — he must apply for bail in the Supreme Court.
