A man is in custody after a dramatic raid at a Coffs Coast home netted 3D printers, firearms and illegal drugs with a street value of nearly half-a-million dollars.

A man is in custody after a dramatic dawn raid at a Coffs Harbour address netted 3D printers, firearms and illegal drugs with a street value of nearly half-a-million dollars.

Special police investigators moved on the Boambee East property at 6am on Wednesday, seizing manufactured prohibited firearms, firearm parts, $4500 cash, ammunition, an electronic stun device, replica firearms, 3D printers, electronic storage devices, and drug paraphernalia.

They also found 181 cannabis plants and 17kg of cannabis.

Drouyn Mills, 44, was arrested at the property and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station, where he was charged with 10 offences.

He faced Coffs Harbour Local Court on Wednesday and Magistrate Julia Virgo refused bail.

The raid on the south Coffs property was led by State Crime Command Drug and Firearms Squad detectives as part of Strike Force Temarang.

It follows an investigation into the alleged manufacture of prohibited firearms on the state’s North Coast.

Items taken from the Boambee East property will undergo forensic examination.

The seized prohibited drugs have an estimated potential street value of $470,000.

Mills has been charged with cultivating cannabis, four counts of manufacturing prohibited firearms without licence/permit, possessing ammunition without holding a licence/permit/authority, supplying cannabis, enhanced indoor cultivation of cannabis for commercial purpose, possessing unauthorised prohibited firearms, and possessing more than three unregistered firearms (one a prohibited/pistol).

Strike force detectives work closely with other law enforcement agencies, including Department of Home Affairs, Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC), and the Australian Federal Police.

Police strike force investigations are ongoing.
