A terrified mother says Noosa has gotten out of control after several fights between teenagers have broken out near Hastings Street.
The mother said she was aware of an incident that happened about 8pm on Saturday at Hastings Street.
It comes as footage has emerged of a fight near the bus stop at Noosa late last year.
Two girls can be seen ganging up on one teen, who keeps asking them to leave her alone as they keep calling her “b----”.
“Every time my daughter’s been down there, there’s been an incident every single time, not involving her, but something she’s witnessed, and now she’s not allowed to go down there, she’s banned from going down there, because something always happens,” the mother said.
“Your kids should be allowed to go down to a family friendly place where they can go and have dinner.
“And these, these (incidents), aren’t just happening at night, they are happening during the day as well.”
The mother said Noosa used to be seen as a family friendly spot but had become rougher.
“I just feel like it’s not a safe place to gather like it was, I think it’s got worse in the last year or so, and a lot to do with social media.”
