History has repeated in both BFNL footy and netball in a glorious Saturday afternoon at Leopold Memorial Park for two powerhouses of their respective competitions.
As Torquay’s men completed back-to-back premierships on the footy field, adjacent to the ground Ocean Grove’s premier netballers were creating their own slice of history on court.
The Grubbers, who broke a 19-year premiership drought in 2023, backed it up again to claim two A Grade flags on the bounce.
Sadly, it meant two grand final losses in a row for Geelong Amateur, who had come into the finals after an 18-0 regular season.
