NT school holiday events: Stunt comedian Joel Fenton headlines Casuarina’s Circus Spectacular

‘One of the most unique acts you’ll see’: Joel Fenton, who is known for his surprising, dangerous and hilarious stunt shows, is arriving in the Top End this month.

Joel Fenton, known as The Cirque Stuntman, will be hosting the Comedy Circus Stunt Show at Casuarina Square as part of the centre's school holiday program.

A comedian known for his daredevil stunts and hilarity is set to headline Casuarina Square’s Circus Spectacular.

Stunt comedian Joel Fenton will perform in the Top End three-week school holiday event with his Comedy Circus Stunt Show.

The Cirque Stuntman is known for delivering one-man shows featuring daring chainsaw juggling, magic, balloons and “big laughs”.

Despite growing his stage and online presence in the last two decades of touring in over 15 countries, Fenton revealed this would be his first time in Darwin.

The Gold Coast local said he was looking forward to performing for Top End audiences and taking in the Territory sights.

Joel Fenton said this will be his first visit to Darwin.

“I can’t wait to bring the Comedy Circus Stunt Show to Darwin and maybe spot a crocodile or two in my spare time,” he said.

“Coming from the Gold Coast, I’ve been warned about the heat … but hey, I’m ready for it.”

Elysia Billingham, centre manager at Casuarina Square, said Fenton’s performances, which mix danger, comedy and illusion, appeal to kids and adults.

“Joel’s show is one of the most unique acts you’ll see,” she said. “He’s hilarious, fearless and constantly surprising.

“We’re thrilled to host him at Casuarina Square as part of our school holiday program.

“We want to give local families experiences they’ll remember, and this show delivers that in spades.”

Families can catch The Comedy Circus Stunt Show at The Quarter in June.

Families will be able to catch Fenton at two daily performances from Monday June 23 to Sunday, June 29 at 10am and 1pm at The Quarter.

Tickets are required for the Comedy Circus Stunt Show and are available via the Casuarina Square website but early booking is recommended.

During the June and July school holiday line-up at Casuarina Square families can also enjoy three weeks of free activities at The Resort Node.

These include balloon animal workshops, clown-themed creations and face painting sessions.
