The pair allegedly put a knife to the man they’d met earlier, demanding cash, just metres from a popular Tweed Street.

Two North Coast men have been charged for an alleged armed robbery over Easter.
According to Tweed-Byron Police, a 31-year-old man had left a licensed Wharf St premise on Easter Monday with three men he had met earlier that day on April 18.
A short distance from the premises, the three men allegedly demanded cash from the man.
One of the men allegedly produced a knife in the attack.
Cash and personal belongings were taken from the 31-year-old and the men escaped towards the QLD border, according to police.
However, police later located two men matching the alleged assailants’ descriptions in Navigation Lne, Tweed Heads.
A 31-year-old Tweed Heads man and a 26-year-old Mullumbimby man were arrested and charged with robbery in company
The men were refused bail and will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on June 14.
