A teenager suspended from driving allegedly led police on a pursuit through a main road at Old Guildford before he punctured a tyre and was arrested.

Mohomed Emad Ibrahim, 19, is accused of sparking the pursuit when officers patrolling Woodville Rd on September 27 allegedly detected him speeding and directed him to stop late at night.

Ibrahim allegedly failed to stop his Renault sedan, hitting a kerb and puncturing a tyre before eventually being arrested.

The Guildford man was taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he was charged with not stopping a vehicle when directed to do so, not stopping during during a police pursuit, furious, reckless or dangerous driving, driving while suspended, hindering or resisting police, and negligent driving.

He was granted conditional bail and ordered to face Parramatta Local Court on Thursday, when his solicitor requested an adjournment to November 21.

Ibrahim was excused from appearing and his bail was continued.

The court heard pleas must be entered when the case returns to court next month.
