A Sydney luxury property developer has been accused of choking and assaulting his former partner while he was on strict bail for more than a dozen alleged domestic violence offences against her.

Jake Williams, 36, was previously charged with 19 domestic violence charges pertaining to his brief relationship with a woman, including four of intentional choking, and three of assault causing actual bodily harm.

The former Skyview Homes developer is now back in prison on remand after he was charged again with intentionally choking the same woman, assault causing actual bodily harm, intimidation and contravening an apprehended domestic violence order.

At the time, Williams was on NSW Supreme Court bail for the earlier charges, and forbidden from contacting or seeing the woman at all under the terms of a strict interim apprehended domestic violence order.

It is understood the woman – who is not his estranged wife Jade Williams – required treatment in hospital for her injuries after the alleged incident.

Williams appeared at Wollongong Local Court on May 29 on the new charges, where he did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

The matter will next be mentioned at the same court on June 5, where he will be required to attend via the audiovisual link.

His bail on the 19 earlier matters was also revoked, with those charges listed at Sutherland Local Court on June 4, and again at Wollongong Local Court on June 5.

Williams was initially set to defend those matters at a hearing at Sutherland Local Court in March, before they were adjourned because Williams was an involuntary patient in a mental health ward in hospital.

They are now set down for hearing at the same court on October 16 and 17, where Williams will be sentenced for a separate charge of contravening an AVO to which he has already pleaded guilty.

Williams was the head of residential property development outfit Skyview Homes until it was wound up in November 2022.

Documents from the liquidator in 2022 estimated the company owed six unsecured creditors $1,967,408 – and had just $21,252 in assets.

The business was reported as having $2007 cash in the bank, and claims including $731,249 in unsecured debts, $1.2m in related party debts, and $36,160 in tax debt.
