A major police operation is underway in Sydney’s south west, with the tactical operations unit descending on a property believed to be linked to a brazen shooting on Friday morning.

Just hours after shock vision of the moment a gunman unleashed a spray of bullets at a Bossley Park home was leaked online, dozens of police raided a home on Woodville Road, Fairfield.

Dressed in camouflage and armed with weapons, police shut down the busy thoroughfare, raiding a property.

The Telegraph understands the home may be linked to the gunmen involved in the shooting.

Video of the drive-by shows a gunman sitting in the back of an Audi, screaming “say hello to my little friend” as he fires up to 20 shots at the property at 6.30am today.

It was the second time in just two days the Aberdeen St home has been targeted, with the getaway driver filming the gunman in the back seat as he fired at the home early on Friday morning.

The gunman, dressed in all black and covering his face, rolls down the window, points the semiautomatic weapon at the home and starts firing, screaming “woo-hoo” and “say hello to my little friend”.

The video, which lasts for just 10 seconds, abruptly ends as the car speeds off.

However, it didn’t get far, crashing at speed into a bus stop.

Shortly after, the Audi involved in the shooting crashed into a bus stop at the intersection of Mimosa and Prairie Vale Rd, before the gunmen fled.

Police arrived within minutes, finding a semiautomatic weapon in the back seat.

Around 2pm, almost eight hours after the shooting, tactical officers mobilised in Fairfield.

Worried residents on Aberdeen St told the Telegraph they were becoming increasingly fearful about the level of violence in their neighbourhood.

“It’s getting much, much worse … (we feel) unsafe,” an elderly resident said.

The incident comes less than a day after the same address was fired at, with a single round striking a caravan parked outside the Aberdeen St property. A white Audi was also seen speeding from the scene.

The elderly couple who live at the address said they were jolted awake by a “pop” and then saw headlights speeding away.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph resident Patricio said they “couldn’t sleep all night” and had “no reason” to be targeted.

“We don’t owe any one any money or anything.” he said.

NSW Police allege the shooting is a case of mistaken identity as the pair have no links to crime.

Fairfield detectives are now investigating whether the two incidents are linked and are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
