A man is accused of attacking three revellers with a machete during a bloody confrontation outside a Port Macquarie watering hole.

NSW Police and paramedics were called to a licensed venue on Horton St, Port Macquarie about midnight on Sunday, following reports of a fight involving four men.

It’s alleged the group began arguing outside the venue before one of the men, 24-year-old Alex Walker, allegedly pulled out a machete and attacked the other three.

Police state three men aged 19, 22 and 23 were taken to Port Macquarie Hospital suffering from “lacerations”, or deep cuts. It’s not believed the injuries are life-threatening.

Mid North Coast Police District officers allegedly arrested Walker at the scene.

He was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station and charged with three counts of reckless wounding, as well as using an offensive weapon to commit an indictable offence.

Walker faced Port Macquarie Local Court on Monday and was granted conditional bail.

He is due to face the same court on January 24.
