Australia’s acclaimed electronic group The Potbelleez are the Darwin Cup Day’s after-party headline act.
Following the final race of the Darwin Cup at Fannie Bay, on Monday August 4, racegoers are being promised a high-energy after-party like no other.
The three-member Irish-Australian electro-house and dance music group, are recognised for their electrifying, melodic dance anthems and vibrant energy and fun-loving, laid back attitude.
The Potbelleez will take centre stage for an exclusive DJ set performed live from the back of a truck in the main straight.
“This isn’t your average afterparty — it’s a full-throttle celebration, Territory-style,” said Chris Chaffe, CEO of the Darwin Turf Club.
“Hosting The Potbelleez for a DJ set live from the back of a truck is bold, fun, and truly unique— just like the Darwin Cup itself.”
Best known for hits such as “Don’t Hold Back” and “Hello”, The Potbelleez have performed on some of the world’s biggest stages — and now they’re bringing their electric energy direct to Cup Day in true Top End style.
“Darwin Cup Day is already one of Australia’s most anticipated racing and social events, and this year we’re taking the celebrations to the next level,” Chaffe added.
“The Potbelleez will deliver a festival-style finale in conclusion to one of the most iconic days on the Australian Racing Calander.”
Attendees can also expect pop-up bars, food trucks, and a dancefloor atmosphere that is sure to make this year’s Darwin Cup one to remember.
The afterparty kicks off immediately after the running of the 2025 Great Northern Darwin Cup which is scheduled to jump at 5.30pm.
