A NORTHERN Gold Coast restaurant will host five pairs of lovebirds from this weekend to manage the newly eased restrictions on hospitality.
The Local at Paradise Point will open its restaurant for tables of two for dinner, allowing five couples to dine in at once to coincide with the Queensland Government’s new legislation on capping restaurant guests at 10 people.
The restaurant and bar will also be available to be booked out entirely with a private chef and bartender for 10 people.

“We’re going to do couple’s night. There will be an early bird sitting and later sitting, and we’ll sanitise and clean the tables and everything in between,” she said.
“We’re also looking at hiring out the venue for 10 people — they have the whole venue to themselves at a minimum spend, with a personal chef and bar person for the night.”
The Local has already been booked out with a 10-person group set to celebrate the easing of restrictions on Saturday night, however more evenings are available for bookings.
“We’re going to stick to our standard menu, the steaks and good old fashioned parmie,” Ms Perry said.
“We’ll do a lot of our normal menu, we are going to do some specials as well.”
Nearby Cafe 7 will open to dine-in customers as of Saturday 6am.
