A senior member of the Outlaws bikie gang will front court after allegedly firing a gun inside a Western Sydney home.

A senior Outlaws bikie will front court after allegedly firing shots from a pistol in an encounter with a woman and child in Western Sydney.

Police will allege Duncan John Godwin, 53, went to a home in Caddens looking for a younger man on Monday around 5pm.

The younger man ran out the back door when he heard the bikie arrived.

The high-ranking member then allegedly forced his way through the front door and walked upstairs before finding a woman and a four-year-old boy hiding in a bathroom.

The bikie allegedly threatened the woman before pointing the gun at her. Police will allege he then shot a round into the floor before going downstairs and firing more shots.

Mr Godwin was arrested at a house on Langmead Rd, Silverdale, at about 9.20pm on Monday night.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with special aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence, two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, using an unregistered firearm — pistol, using an unauthorised pistol, possessing ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, and firing a firearm in a manner likely injure persons/property.

During a brief mention of his matter at Penrith Local Court on Tuesday, Mr Godwin appeared via AVL from the Penrith police station cells while wearing a white jumpsuit.

His lawyer did not apply for bail before Magistrate Fiona Toose, which was formally refused.

Mr Godwin will next appear at Penrith Local Court on April 31.
