Mount Cotton resident, Matthew Bujnowicz, was killed in a motorcycle crash in Redland Bay on Sunday.

Mr Bujnowicz also owned a southeast Queensland construction business.

According to a close family friend the 35-year-old was originally from Sydney, and his family flew to Brisbane on Monday.

“Matthew is a beautiful soul who wore his heart on his sleeve,” the friend said.

“(He’d) literally take the shirt off his back for anyone, never judged anyone and would do anything to help someone even without asking.

“Generous beyond belief, caring, kind and loving doesn’t even start to sum up what an amazing person he was.

“He is so very very loved and currently it is not believable that he isn’t here anymore.”

Mr Bujnowicz was riding along Heinemann Rd when it’s believed he collided with a white SUV about 4pm.

He was not able to be revived and died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

“You came into our life unexpectedly and I never knew how much Jace (Jace Officer, her husband) and I needed you on our journey in life until our paths crossed, you became our best mate to our little/big brother,” she said.

“Respect, honesty, trust and loyalty were such a big part of who you were, you always kept things real, never sugar coated anything, the biggest heart, always helping anyone you could see was struggling even if you had your own sh*t going on, that’s what Jace and I loved about you the most.

“You and Han had so much to look forward too.

“We promise to continue to love and support Han as much as we possibly can she will forever be apart of our family and your fur babies, we know they were your world, your everything.

“Your [sic] riding free now brother.”
