CHRISTMAS grinches have caused fury after tearing up the popular light display in front of a family home.
Coomera resident Adam Robertson and his family woke up on Monday morning and found several Christmas decorations in their front yard had been ripped straight out of the ground.
When he checked his CCTV footage he found someone walking by, pulling out a number of lights and throwing them back on the lawn.
“Someone pulled lights out of the ground and broke several wires,” Mr Robertson said.
“It’s so disheartening.”

Mr Robertson said he had spent “well over $1500” on decorating his house with festive lights.
And it isn’t just to stand out.
“In the past, my partner and I have been helped by the Salvation Army before we had children,” he said.
“Now we have four children, we want to give back to the community, we want to show them how to give back.
“We have a wishing well in our yard for people to put in a gold coin donation and we will be donating all the money to Make a Wish Foundation and CanTeen.”
Earlier that night, as Mr Robertson was returning from work, he said there was a couple of children posing for photos and enjoying the lights.

But hours later, around 11.40pm, when he was turning the lights off for the night, the group of vandals arrived.
On the same night, another resident reported the same group of alleged teenage vandals flicked a cigarette butt onto their vehicle.
Another local resident contacted Mr Robertson and said someone lit the bottom of their fence on fire.
It is not the first time Mr Robertson’s home has been targeted.
“We’ve had some incidents in the part were we have had our screen doors rattled. That’s what prompted us to install cameras,” Mr Robertson said.
Police said they didn’t receive any calls in relation to the vandalism last Sunday night.
Mr Robertson has since reported the incident to CrimeStoppers.
