A woman in her 20s is being assessed by paramedics and critical care after she was trapped in her car following a three-vehicle crash.

A woman in her 20s is being assessed by paramedics and critical care after she was trapped in her car following a three-vehicle crash.

Queensland Emergency and Fire Services and the High Acuity Response Unit were called to a three car crash on Maudsland Road and Tuzedo Junction Drive in Maudsland at 8.30 this morning.

A Queensland Emergency Services spokesperson said six people were assessed, including one woman in her 20s who was trapped inside her car and was assisted out.

Paramedics and critical care were onboard while taking the woman to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Another woman in her 20s was taken to Gold Coast University hospital in a stable condition.

The other four people declined transport.

A Gold Coast Police spokesperson said the road which had been blocked by traffic was cleared at 9.36am.
