Former Moto-GP two-time world champion Casey Stoner’s Gold Coast Hinterland home has been damaged by the Christmas storms which battered the region.

Stoner took to his personal social media account to share images of the aftermath of his property that had been hit by the cyclonic storms in Upper Coomera.

“I’m not sure anybody knows quite how serious the storm was in certain areas on the Gold Coast last night, photos do not do justice of the sheer amount of damage in our area,” he said.

“If you have any available hands to throw people’s way as they’ve lost their homes, I know there is a huge amount of help needed.”

Stoner said he was “blessed” his family were safe although his property sustained “a lot of damage” from the storm.

Stoner and his wife Adriana bought a 4.6ha equestrian-style property on Upper Coomera’s Kriedeman Rd for $2.7M in 2016.

The two-level property has a home theatre, games room, temperature-controlled wine cellar, guest pavilion, caretaker cottage, gym with sauna, and $400,000 pool.

The storm has left a trail of destruction, with one dead, 130,000 properties without power, and more than 985 power lines down across southeast Queensland.

The retired Moto-GP rider said his family were “not the most in need” as the clean-up continues for residents across the Gold Coast in affected areas.

Stoner said on Tuesday he remained without power and had limited phone service.

Chris Hemsworth’s brother, fellow actor Luke Hemsworth, commented on Stoner’s social media post “sorry bro. Let me know if you guys need anything at all.”
