CASEY Stoner, retired Moto GP champion, and wife Adriana have found their dream rural retreat — an Upper Coomera property that fly-in developer Craig Gore once called home.
The Stoners have bought the 4.5ha equestrian-style property on Kriedeman Rd for $2.7 million.
Their buy comes as they are marketing a $4.25 million Hope Island home they have owned since 2012.
The new two-level Stoner home comes with a home theatre, games room, temperature-controlled wine cellar, guest pavilion, caretaker cottage, gym with sauna, and $400,000 pool.
The property has an international standard dressage arena, a vet room, and 10 day-yard shelters with water tanks.
There also is a helipad, a legacy of when Mr Gore lived there with then wife Thaya Morgan-Phoenix.
The developer, a former owner of a V8 Supercar team, unsuccessfully took the Gold Coast City Council to the Planning and Environment Court in 2007 when it placed a restriction on the number of times he could fly his helicopter into the property.
Mr Gore was bankrupted in 2012 owing creditors more than $282 million.
The Stoners have bought their Upper Coomera property from Teresa Brabeck, who paid $2.5 million for it in 2014.
The seller of the two-title holding then was Ms Morgan-Phoenix, who had owned it since 2002.
