Weather: Bureau of Meteorology forecasts showers on Gold Coast for rest of week

FORECASTERS have predicted a soggy week for the Gold Coast after the city spent the last eight days in Covid-19 lockdown.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has forecast a cloudy day with a probable shower or two in the city on Monday.
Light rain fell over parts of the city on Sunday night, bringing just 2mm to the Gold Coast Seaway between 9am on Sunday to 5.30am on Monday morning.
The BOM has predicted a medium (60 per cent) chance of showers, becoming less likely into the afternoon.
South-easterly winds of between 15-25kmh are due to ease off into the evening.
The temperature was 16C at the Seaway about 6am and was expected to climb to a max of 21C, slighty lower than the maximum on Sunday.

The BOM has forecast light showers for the rest of the week, clearing temporarily on Wednesday.
Temperatures will range between 13C and 23C, according to the BOM.
The lowest minimum temperature will likely be on Tuesday, when the mercury is due to hit 13C, while the maximum is predicted to be 23 on Thursday and Friday.
