One of the Gold Coast’s best-known surfers has been named as Annastacia Palaszczuk’s celebrity candidate in the seat of Burleigh.

ONE of the Gold Coast’s best-known surfers has been named as Annastacia Palaszczuk’s candidate in the seat of Burleigh.

Wayne ‘Rabbit’ Bartholemew will take on incumbent MP Michael Hart in the seat which he has held since 2012.

Ms Palaszczuk travelled to the Gold Coast on Sunday to make the announcement, with Labor hoping to win the seat back.
