One of the world’s most popular artists and producers – who has sent his fandom into chaos with a shock Australian tour – has announced he will be performing at a northern NSW pub tonight.
Two-time Grammy-award winner Fredrick Gibson, aka Fred Again, has landed on the Gold Coast for a sold-out pop-up gig during his Australian run of shows.
On Friday around 10am, Fred Again announced he would be playing a second pop-up gig at Brunswick Heads in Northern NSW at 6.30pm.
“Very limited” $10 tickets were available at Hotel Brunswick, Jet Black Cat Music in Brisbane and tickets were already sold out at Howl and Moan Records in Byron Bay.
“Obviously make sure you support the record store when you go if you’re able,” Fred added to his post.
Hotel Brunswick shared the announcement to their Instagram and said they had 200 on-the-door tickets available.
Jet Black Music shared the post which said “Fred Again fans see you soon”.
A video out the front of Byron Bay’s Howl and Moan records showed a line of hundreds of people hoping to grab a ticket.
At 10.40am, Fred Again announced the tickets for the Brunswick Heads show was sold out.
After keeping the location of his original Gold Coast gig secret for a week, the UK artist shared an Instagram story showing Main Beach’s Doug Jennings Park.
“Guys I think this is going to be the most epic/beautiful pop-up we’ve done yet. If you got tickets check your email in like an hour,” he said on March 6.
On February 27, Fred Again announced he was in Sydney and was doing a surprise show at the Sydney Opera House.
The news sent his Australian fandom into overdrive, with more than 100,000 people hoping to snag a ticket to the venue which only seats 2679.
Two days later, Fred Again shared a note document to Instagram which said he would be coming to the Gold Coast on March 9.
Complimentary buses will be taking people from Cypress Ave and Australia Fair Shopping Centre to Doug Jennings Park on Saturday from 2.30pm onwards.
Gates to the gig will open at 4pm and those attending will not be able to bring in bags larger than A4 size.
Fred Again will make his way back to Sydney to play Qudos Bank Arena on March 12, 13 and 14.
